April 2009 Archive Sat 25 April NMCC v Hatfield. Report from Ian Lawless. In terms of the game. the toss was
negotiated as they ware the stronger side, we played 40 overs.
They were 159 for 5. Goodliffe 0-39, Davies 1-38, Howell 2-19,
Medforth 0-12, Perridge 1-20, Gregory 0-24, Lawless 1-8. Sun 26 April 1:00pm Club XI v Leverstock Green (H) - cancelled. 19th April On a beautiful Spring day, Louis Walpole opened and scored 49 as the North Mymms Sunday Club XI scored 130 - 6 against Chigwell. This was not enough with the visitors knocking off the runs with 5 wickets to spare. Report here. Outdoor nets for Seniors will begin at 1800 every Tuesday, with grass net practice from 21 April if the conditions are OK. Junior nets will begin on Thursday 23 April.

Executive (updated April 2009) Executive: as last year but with Ian Cheeseman taking on the additional role of Chairman. Chairman of Cricket - VACANT. Captains: Saturday 1st XI Neil Black, 2nd XI Nick Gilbert, 3rd XI Damian Southall, 4th XI VACANT , 5th XI Ian Lawless. Sunday Club XI Jon Mather & Chris Cook. Chris Cook awarded Clubman of the Year (thank you!). At the AGM, Mark Saxby was awarded Life Membership in recognition of his fantastic contribution during the past 28 years. By the end of the 2008 season, Mark had made 953 appearances for North Mymms scoring 26,392 runs (average 39.04) and has taken 1,548 wickets (average 19.93/wkt) and 369 catches. Ken King remarked that ‘Mark is extremely well respected throughout the County, both on and off the pitch, and has been a credit to North Mymms during his cricketing career’.
